The pharmaceutical company Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical LLC (division of Johnson & Johnson) pled guilty, that she promoted canadian pharmacy antiepileptic drug Topomax for indications not approved by regulators, thus fulfilling an agreement settling the claims, made earlier.
Ortho-McNeil will pay 81.5 million dollars, of which 6.1 million dollars - criminal penalty.
The investigation revealed that Ortho-McNeil has levitra brand name recommended Topamax in the treatment of mental disorders.
